Strong market potential
The HKTDC Hong Kong International Medical Devices and Supplies Fair 2010 builds on the success of the 2009 event, which welcomed more than 5,600 visitors from 80 countries and regions. Over 150 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions took the opportunity to present their medical supplies and devices to the international market through the fair.
The good turnout reflects the growing demand for medical devices and supplies products from more affluent populations at a time of rising health consciousness, plus a growing need for home-based care, especially in Asia. In addition, the Chinese mainland旧 Rmb850 billion medical-care system reform plan, announced in April 2009, is expected to increase medical expenditure, creating more business opportunities.
