On December 10-12, 2009 "Lenexpo" exhibition complex in St. Petersburg hosted the VI exhibition and conference "Russian HCS" (housing and communal services)

Exhibition was supported by the Russian Ministry of Regional Development, St. Petersburg Government (Housing committee; committee for economic development; committee for construction and architecture, committee for industrial policy and commerce); Committee for communal and housing industry of the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The event was officially opened by A. Sergeev, the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg
Opening ceremony was also attended by V. Gaidey, the deputy chairman of St. Petersburg Housing Committee, V. Katenev, the president of St. Petersburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce, A. Stepanenko, the chairman of "Housing Complex" non profit partnership of communal enterprises, A. Grimitlin, the president of heating engineers association, S. Alexeev, the director general of JSC "Lenexpo", and others.
The exposition, demonstrated at the stand of St. Petersburg Housing Committee, showed the results of committee's activity: renovation works, waste management and communal reformations.
The committee for construction and architecture demonstrated different elements of city's accomplishment, applicable for various territories, such as arterial roads, public places and city yards. Much attention was paid to playgrounds (thematic design, chess and checkers areas).
On December 10, 2009, the first day of the exhibition, there was an awarding ceremony for the winners of "Apartment building management" contest, organized by St. Petersburg housing committee in "Lenexpo". A. Sergeev, St. Petersburg Vice-Governor, awarded winners with certificates and prizes, and Mr. Gaidey, the first deputy chairman of St. Petersburg housing committee, gave 'letters of gratitude'.
Exposition stands demonstrated different engineering systems: heat, power, gas and water supply, pipe systems; elevators, innovation materials, technologies and equipment for waste management, power saving technologies and equipment; housing industry management, automation in HCS, software and consultations.
The exhibition was participated by the main St. Petersburg housing enterprises: St. Petersburg power and energy complex, "PetersburgGas", "Lensvet", "Lenenergo", "Housing service "unitary enterprise , "Petersburgteploenergo". "Otis Lift", "Promise", "Petrowast", "Teplocom" and others.

The conference "Innovation approach and modernization for HCS", attended by V. Gaidey, aroused the questions of communal and housing management, cooperation between St. Petersburg housing committee and partnerships of owners of housing, and innovation approaches and latest technologies for housing and communal services.
A plenary session, devoted to St .Petersburg innovation program 2009-2011, organized by St. Petersburg Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade, was conducted within the framework of the roundtable discussion "Power efficiency as a part on St. Petersburg innovation policy"
During the analysis of the legislative base in the sphere of power efficiency, separate attention was paid to the Federal law on "Power supply and power efficiency increase, and the introduction of changes to the legislative acts of the Russian Federation" and the government Statement on "The concept of power efficiency increase and stimulation of power supply".
The international conference "Strategy and tactics for the development of St. Petersburg waste management industry in regards with the contemporary global experience", organized by St. Petersburg housing committee, was attended by Austrian Deputy Minister of Ecology. The conference was focused on the problems of city's waste management system and related legislative base, Austrian environmental technologies and their system of separated waste collection, applied in St. Petersburg, and waste recycling.
The congress "Power efficiency. XXI century. Engineering methods for reduction of building power consumption" was organized by the Association of heating, ventilation, conditioning and construction physics engineers, "Power supply metrology", "Inzhspetsstroy", St. Petersburg Polytechnic University and St. Petersburg University of Architecture and Construction.
The conference was supported by the Administration of the Plenipotentionary of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-West Federal District; it lasted for 2 days and consisted of a plenary session and 5 sectional meetings.
The discussion was focused on new materials, building and reconstruction technologies for buildings, pipe, water drainage, water supply and treatment systems, inside engineering services and local climate control systems. The section "Commercial control for industrial and communal energy resources" was paid separate attention.
All -Russian session of managing companies analyzed the situation with our communal management and its development perspectives, much attention was paid to legal issues in the sphere of HCS and essential changes for 2010.
The conference "HCS problems and possible solutions" was devoted to the legislative base, applicable for the community of the owners of the housing; participants shared their experience of apartment house management.
Along with the exhibition "Lenexpo" hosted annual "Gas Club" meeting, which contained the round table discussion "Safety, ecology, power efficiency of gas industry in the communal sphere", focused on the problems of cooperation between gas suppliers and various housing communities and services, safety, gas equipment and gas and energy supply systems.
North-West Association of Power Engineers organized the seminar "Reliable power engineering for HCS" and discussed the problems and perspectives of municipal power engineering, communal power efficiency, innovation technologies, small urban power engineering systems and etc.
There also was a contest "The best power engineering equipment, materials and technologies for housing and communal complex"; the seminar ended up with the awarding ceremony.
JSC "Lenexpo" took an active part in the exhibition program organization.
"Russian housing and communal services 2009" exhibition was attended by the specialists from 8 countries: Austria, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, USA, Ukraine, Finland and Czech Republic. They represented 67 Russian and foreign cities. There were specialists from managing companies, manufacturers, service enterprises, HCS companies, scientific and research institutions, housing communities and public associations, unions, clubs, media sources and publishing companies.
But most exhibition visitors were managers and engineers, working in the field of communal and housing services or manufacturing equipment for this sphere.
